Unboxing: The Vintage Box!
Our Vintage Box takes inspiration from one of Japan's most influential 20th century illustrators – Junichi Nakahara. Nakahara's stylized illustrations created a timeless aesthetic that helped empower woman of the era. Our latest issue of KAWA takes you to the boutique-filled streets of Nishi Ogikubo for a day trip of vintage antique shopping, boutique browsing and tea sipping! Take your time and enjoy this slow-paced West Tokyo suburb.
Our June box features a balanced curation of stationery, homewares and ceramics – a fantastic variety of vintage Japanese items! The Ofuku San dish offers good fortune and is perfect for holding your afternoon sweets or wagashi. Also included in this box are two pieces designed and produced by Neko Box exclusively for you! First, we have our Vintage Japan print featuring illustrations of iconic Japanese items and printed on beautifully textured paper right here in Tokyo. Second, is our very first kinchaku (drawstring) bag decorated with fun illustrations of kitsune (fox), ofuku san and traditional fans! Designed by Neko Box nd produced by textile artisans right here in Japan, these bags are perfect for storing small items or being used as a lunch bag.
